Fatal Pedestrian Accident In Schererville Tuesday
On Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at approximately 10:24 PM Schererville Police and Fire were dispatched to the 1000 block of W Lincoln Hwy in regards to a vehicle vs pedestrian accident, according to Schererville Police.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a male subject was walking across the street, near Bullpen, when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on W. Lincoln Hwy, Schererville Police told RNS.
The victim, a 46 year old male, from Lowell, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the male has not been released.
Accident reconstruction teams from St John Police Department, Crown Point Police Department and Cedar Lake Police Department were called to the scene to assist.
