Gary Investigating 2nd Homicide Wednesday
Gary Police & Fire were dispatched to the 1200 block of Montana Wednesday night shortly after 7pm for a gun shot victim. On arrival police found a 24 year old male deceased from gun shot wounds outside. Police are currently interviewing a person of interest that is known to the victim. A witness told RNS they believe a neighbor was in a dispute with the victim before the shooting. During the incident two females were battered by the suspect and a dog belonging to one of the female’s was shot, according to Lt. Dawn Westerfield of The Gary Police.
The Lake County Coroner has identified the victim as Terrance Turner, 24, of Gary.
