Gary Police Chase Stolen Truck Into East Chicago House

Gary Police spotted a stolen red pick up truck shortly after 1:30am Sunday morning and went to conduct a Felony Traffic Stop on the vehicle. The vehicle fled from officers which was occupied three times and led Gary Police on chase to East Chicago with speeds an excess of 80mph. The vehicle lost control on the 4000 block of Grand in East Chicago and crashed through a fence then into a brick home causing significant damage. Three suspects bailed from the wreck and led police on a foot chase through the neighboring blocks. One suspect was quickly apprehended and two others were being tracked in a tight perimeter setup by Gary and East Chicago Police. Indiana State Police & Crown Point Police are assisting with K-9 units. As of 2:45am police were still tracking two suspects.

Update – 2/3 of the suspects were caught and charged. The third is known but was not apprehended.
