Gary Police Investigating Homicide Involving Rolled Over Car
Gary Police and Investigators from The Lake County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force are investigating the death of a 20-year-old Gary man.
The incident occurred on January 7th at approximately 6:41 PM, in the 2700 block of West 19th Ave.
Officers responded to the location for a reported accident and while they were enroute they were informed that the driver may have been shot.
When officers arrived they located the vehicle, a silver Dodge Avenger, resting on its roof and the driver deceased. Officers located shell casings a few blocks away. The vehicle came to rest on the lawn of the Boys and Girls Club.
