Gary Police Investigating Monday Homicide
Around 7:06 PM Monday, Gary Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Burr Street for a fight in progress, according to Commander Jack Hamady of The Gary Police. On officers arrival they located a 30-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Methodist Northlake where he later succumbed to his injuries, Hamady told RNS.
Gary Metro Homicide is on scene with Lake County CSI. The investigation is ongoing and further information will be added as it comes in.
Update – The Lake County Coroner has identified the victim as Keiyun Mays, 30, of Gary.
