Gary Police Investigating Second Shooting Wednesday
Gary Police & Fire were dispatched to 19th & Taney Wednesday around 6:30pm for a gun shot victim. On arrival police found one male shot on the street corner. This location is on the corner where The Boys & Girls Club is located. Quite a few residents were outside enjoying the day and didn’t realize what had occurred. A few residents described hearing bangs but with all the fireworks in the area they didn’t think anything of it. Another neighbor said they saw a man walking the neighborhood through out the day and they believed it may have been him that was shot. The victim was transported to Northlake Methodist in serious condition. The Lake County Sheriff’s Department was assisting on scene with the Investigation.
