Gary Police Raid Home Of Viral NYE Video And Find Dozens Of Guns
On New Years Eve 2020 an individual from Gary, Indiana committed a reckless and foolish act, that could have injured or killed someone with their actions. This individual was videoed shooting a weapon off in the City of Gary and damaging a NIPSCO pole. This video was posted on a Social media and viewed by thousands of people. The Gary Police Department received tips on this video and thank everyone that did send in messages alerting the department of this criminal act. The Gary Police Department and members from the FBI GRIT task force began an investigation that led them to one individual that was responsible for this foolish act.
On January 06, 2020, members from the Gary Police Department, Gary SWAT and The FBI Gang Response Team executed two search warrants simultaneously on two midtown homes and took a 20 year old Gary, Indiana man into custody. Inside the homes investigators recovered 28 weapons and ammunition. These weapons ranged from shotguns, rifles, AR rifles and 12 handguns. Investigators will present charges to the Lake County Prosecutors Office later today.
Police would like to thank everyone for the information that was sent to the department and appreciate the support from the citizens of Gary and throughout the nation.

What an idiot…the shooter should be forever banned from owning a firearm (not that it matters-when guns are banned outlawed, only outlaws will own guns) and given a work detail from prison cleaning all the **** around the bottom of utility poles.

I’m very curious about the 12 handguns that the individual had ? Considering he’s too young to have actually purchased them . I’d also like to know who purchased them and if there is any documentation on them being gifted to the individual since that’s the only way I know of for a 20 year old to legally own a handgun . Further more the sad thing about this is that even if he’s charged with a felony it will be pled down to something that won’t take his right to own a firearm away .
