Gary Police Searching For Missing Man
Update – Barry has been found safe. On August 3, 2020 approximately 2:51 PM the Gary Police Department responded the 7200 block of west 22nd Avenue for a report of a missing person. The reporting person states he last spoke to Mr Chapman in the residence around 11:00 pm on August 2, 2020. He is unsure when Mr Chapman may have left the residence but it was sometime after 11:00pm on August 2, 2020 and before 10:00 AM on August 3, 2020. This is said to be out of character for Chapman. His whereabouts are unknown at this time and no one has been able to reach him by phone.
Barry Chapman is described as a 56-year-old male white, 6’01” tall, weighs 195 lbs with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green button up shirt, blue jeans and black gym shoes. It is unknown if he left on foot or in someone’s vehicle. Mr Chapman may be headed to the area of Hammond or East Chicago, Indiana.
