Griffith Police Respond To Shots Fired
Just after midnight Thursday, Griffith Police responded to the 400 block of N Griffith Blvd in reference to the sound of several gunshots being reported, according to Commander Keith Martin of The Griffith Police. Officers checked the area but did not see any obvious damage. Officers spoke to witnesses who stated that they observed a custom multi-color greenish full size Sport Utility Vehicle,
lifted, with custom chrome wheels, enter northbound in the west alley of 400 N
Griffith Blvd. An occupant of the vehicle then fired what sounded like a small caliber handgun shortly before the vehicle squealed its tires and sped from the scene, Martin said. Shell casings were recovered from the scene and the incident is under investigation.
