Hammond Man Robbed Outside Residence
On January 23rd, at approximately 5:30 PM, Hammond police responded to the 700 block of Highland Street in reference to a robbery that had just occurred, according to Hammond Police Lt. Steve Kellogg.
Officers arrived and spoke with the 53-year-old male victim who stated that he was entering his residence when a black male wearing a mask approached him and pointed a firearm demanding his wallet. The victim gave the suspect his wallet. The suspect entered a black vehicle from the passenger side in the vehicle fled east, Kellogg said. The victim was not injured during the incident. The suspect was described as a thin black male, approximately 6’ tall, wearing black pants and a black sweatshirt.
