Hammond Mayor McDermott Set To Start New Podcast Friday
Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr and his long time attorney Kevin Smith announced a new podcast series set to start Friday at 7:30AM on their new Facebook Page. The Facebook page and show title is “Left of Center Podcast” with Episode 1 titled “WTF Happened” McDermott and Smith will host this weekly series twice a week on Tuesday and Friday from Facebook instead of using WJOB studios where the former show was broadcast from for years. It is believed that the Mayor’s show left the radio station after controversy over ad timing and placement surrounding his show.
This will be McDermott’s first show on air since before the primary congressional race, which will be one of the topics discussed tomorrow according to a social media post. Eventually McDermott hopes to bring the show to Apple. “Until we have enough shows under our belt, you can only hear these shows on Facebook,” McDermott said. The show will also be published on their YouTube channel as well. The show length will vary depending on topics and the amount of calls. A link to the Facebook page is below.
