Hammond Police Investigating Gas Station Shooting
On July 26th, at approximately 9:15 PM, Hammond Police responded to the Speedway gas station located in the 6800 block of Calumet Avenue in reference to a shooting.
Officers arrived and located a 22-year-old victim who had been shot in the stomach. Investigators learned that two subjects arrived at the gas station and met for an unknown reason. After a short amount of time, the victim was shot in the stomach. The victim is currently in critical condition. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
