Hammond Police Investigating Two Carjackings Wednesday Night

Around 5PM Wednesday, Hammond Police were called to the 7400 block of Magoun for a carjacking that had just occurred. A Black Nissan Altima was taken from the victim by three black males possibly in their teens by gun point, according to Lt. Steve Kellogg of The Hammond Police. The teens were dropped off from another vehicle described as possibly a Blue Mazda before the incident took place, according to a witness.

Minutes later around the block on the 7300 block of Indianapolis, at The GoLo gas station, a second carjacking took place of a Silver Nissan Maxima. The victim stated a younger black male displayed a handgun and demanded their wallet, keys, and phone.

Neither victim was injured during the incidents. The suspects were last seen Westbound on 80/94, according to Kellogg.
