Hammond Police Seek Info On Driver That Hit Two Kids
On Tuesday, September 7th, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Hammond police responded to the intersection of Hohman Avenue and Highland Street in reference to a pedestrian versus vehicle accident, Hammond Police Lt. Steve Kellogg said.
Police arrived and learned that a dark colored sedan with Illinois plates struck two children who were riding doubles on a bicycle, Kellogg stated. The vehicle fled westbound, failing to stop for the accident. The two children were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
