Illinois State Police Confirm I-94 Shooting Friday near 159th
ISP District Chicago Troopers responded to the scene of a confirmed expressway shooting at I-94 northbound at 154th today at 12:13 p.m.
Update –
Illinois State Police (ISP) officials are investigating a reported shooting, which occurred on Friday, January 10th, 2020 at approximately 12:13 p.m. at I-94 northbound at 154th Street.
ISP officers responded to the aforementioned location and discovered an abandoned vehicle which had been involved in the reported expressway shooting. The abandoned vehicle was also involved in a minor property damage traffic crash with another motorist at the same location. The motorist was the sole occupant and declined medical attention on scene. Occupants from the abandoned vehicle fled the scene on foot. At this time, no one is in custody.
The incident remains under investigation and additional updates will be released as they become available
