ILLINOIS STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officials announce the arrest of Alex Abreu (M/32) of Joliet, IL, for one count of Felony Possession of Child Pornography.
On Feb. 11, 2020, ISP DCI Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Joliet. The search warrant was pursuant to a tip received alleging files containing child pornography were uploaded to social media accounts. An I.P. address registered to the residence in Joliet. During the execution of the warrant, ISP investigators came in contact with Alex Abreu and arrested him for possession of child pornography. The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office approved one (1) charge for Possession of Child Pornography, Class 2 felony, with additional charges pending. Abreu is currently being lodged at the Will County Adult Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
