Jasper County Male Charged With 20 Counts of Child Sex Crimes
A Jasper County man has been charged with multiple counts of child molesting following an investigation that authorities say uncovered years of abuse and included admissions from the suspect.
According to court documents, 73-year-old Ronald Jerry Kyle of Wheatfield was confronted on September 2, 2025, by a relative after a young girl disclosed that she had been sexually abused. Both the relative and Kyle’s wife told investigators that Kyle admitted to inappropriate sexual contact.
On September 3, 2025, the victim underwent a forensic interview at Valley Oaks in Rensselaer. She reported that the abuse began in 2017 when she was about 8 years old at Kyle’s former home in Hebron, where he allegedly touched her beneath her swimsuit while in a swimming pool.
The victim further stated that after her family’s house burned down in November 2020, they moved into Kyle’s Wheatfield residence for several months. During this time, she alleged Kyle repeatedly molested her, describing multiple acts of abuse that occurred inside the home. She also told investigators that Kyle gave her candy and vapes in exchange for compliance and warned her not to tell anyone because he could go to jail .
On September 4, 2025, investigators interviewed Kyle at the Jasper County Jail. After being advised of his rights, he admitted to sexual contact with the victim at both residences, acknowledged being sexually aroused by the incidents, and admitted he knew his actions were wrong. Kyle also disclosed he attempted suicide after being confronted about the allegations .
