Juvenile Severely Injured After Hit & Run
On Monday, October 4,2021 at approximately 7AM, Schereville Police were dispatched to the 8400 Block of Pine Island Dr in regards to a subject found laying in a ditch, according to Commander Kevin Wagner.
Upon arrival, Officers located a juvenile with multiple injuries. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital and later transferred to a Chicago hospital due to the severity of the injuries. Detectives began an investigation and found out that the juvenile was walking on the road at approximately 7:39 PM on Sunday, October 3rd. An unknown light colored 4 door sedan was then seen speeding past the same location at a high rate of speed. At this time, it is believed that vehicle collided with the juvenile and then fled the scene.
