Juvenile Struck By Truck In A Hit & Run Police Asking For Assistance
On December 28, 2020 at approximately 7:04 PM, Hobart Police responded to the area of Front and Center Street in reference to a pedestrian who had been struck by a truck and the vehicle fled from the scene, according to Captain James Gonzales of The Hobart Police.
The juvenile victim told police that she was in the area of Front and Center Street when she was struck by a blue truck, the victim told the Officer that the driver of the truck exited the vehicle and attempted to place her in the bed of his pick-up truck, but was unable to. The suspect then dragged her off to the side of the road. The victim described the suspect as a white male with a brown beard and he was wearing a blue shirt, she further stated that the male suspect told her he would be back, but he never returned. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and observation.
