Kentland Man Charged with Possesion of Child Pornography
On March 25, 2025, an Officer in Newton County was assigned a cyber tip provided by Indiana State Police regarding 47 year old, Michael Pierson.
According to court documents, it was learned that, on March 15, 2025, Michael Pierson had uploaded two video files that each contained child pornography. The first video file contained a female, appearing to be prepubescent, and a male, that appeared to be middle aged, engaged in various sexual acts. The second video contained 2 females, both appearing to be prepubescent, engaged in various sex acts with each other.
According to court documents, on April 11, 2025, while police were conducting an interview with Michael Pierson, he admitted that he had knowingly downloaded the videos.
On April 15, 2025, Michael Brandon Ortry Hendricks Pierson was charged with:
Possession of Child Pornography: F5 Felony (2 counts)
RNS has learned that these charges were elevated from a Level 6 felony to a Level 5 felony due to the allegations involving a child less than 12 years of age.
