Lake County Coroner Identifies Victim & Shooter
The Lake County Coroner has identified the victim in the Munster Community Hospital shooting as Ryan Askew, 59, of Crown Point. Askew was working security at Community Hospital and is a retired Lake County Sheriff Officer. Our condolences go out to the Askew family, The Lake County Sheriff’s Department as well as the staff at Community Hospital.
The patient who also was fatally shot has been identified as Jamal Williams, 22, of Lansing IL.
