Lake County Coroner Is Seeking Public’s Help With John Doe
Lake County Coroner Merrilee Frey is asking for the public’s help in finding immediate family or relatives of a decedent that is in the care of the Lake County Coroner’s Office. A welfare check was done on a resident that lived at 444 Rutledge St in Gary, IN Friday afternoon. When police arrived they noticed the door was open and further investigation lead police to finding a deceased male inside. No foul play is suspected. The Lake County Coroner has no other information other than the address and a black male.
