Lake Station Makes Changes To Waste Pick Up
Lake Station Mayor Bill Carroll announced a change in scheduling to Lake Station waste pick up Sunday afternoon. Mayor Carroll said, “I know that there was a period of confusion as we made the swap months back but doing so allowed us to operate in a safe and efficient manner while we handled the pandemic.” “We want to move forward, in part, by beginning with our return to our original trash, recycling and yard waste pick-up,” Carroll stated.
Starting Monday, November 2nd, Lake Station will be going back to the old trash pickup schedule. Whatever day your trash was collected before the pandemic schedule will be the day that it gets picked up from now on. The city will now be collecting your trash, yard waste, and recycling all on the same day. If it is your day for your trash to be picked up, please also have your yard waste and your recycling ready on the curb too the release states.
The pick-up days will be as follows:
Monday – County Line to 51 (Including 51)
Tuesday – 51 to Grand Boulevard, also Viking Village (Including Gd Blvd)
Wednesday – Grand Boulevard to Clay St (Including Clay St)
Thursday – Clay St to Florida St
Friday – Special Pick-ups
