Lansing Police Investigating Homicide
Lansing Police are currently investigating a shooting near the corner of 184th & Violet just West of Torrence Ave Sunday morning shortly after 9am. Shell casings could be seen in the middle of Violet St near a parked vehicle and detectives are canvassing the area. Deputy Chief John Grady of The Lansing Fire Department confirmed two individuals were transported to an area hospital but their conditions were not available.
UPDATE – The Lake County Coroner has identified a homicide victim from the Lansing shooting who succumbed to multiple gun shot wounds at Franciscan Munster. The victim has been identified as Tayveona Edwards, 20, of University Park.
