Man Charged in Alleged Sexual Misconduct Case Involving Teen in Schererville
A 30-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct involving a 15-year-old girl at a residence in Schererville.
According to court documents, the alleged misconduct occurred between March and July 2023 while the girl was visiting her mother’s home. The incidents were first reported to the Indiana Department of Child Services and later investigated by the Schererville Police Department.
A forensic interview was conducted at the Lake County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Unit. Court records state that the man, identified as Bennie J. Bryant IV, was residing at the Schererville residence during the timeframe of the reported events.
Bryant was lodged in the Lake County Jail on July 11, 2025.
