Man Out on Bond for Cocaine Dealing Arrested Again in Porter County with Guns and Drugs

A 31-year-old Porter man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after authorities say he threatened to force his way into a woman’s residence and was later found with cocaine, marijuana, firearms, and drug paraphernalia during a late-night traffic stop.

According to court documents, Porter police were dispatched to the Lincoln Street area in Porter around 9:39 p.m. on July 21, 2025, for a report of a man banging on a door with a firearm. Officers stopped a white Chevrolet Tahoe in the area and identified the driver as Bryce Grant Martin, who matched the suspect description.

The alleged victim told police that Martin, her ex-boyfriend, had shown up uninvited and was striking the outer door of her apartment building while yelling that he was coming in there and that they better open the door. Fearing for her safety, she retreated to a back bedroom.

Another individual who was inside the apartment at the time told police that Martin threatened to break in and shoot somebody if the door was not opened. A neighbor confirmed hearing the pounding and threats and stated she knew Martin to carry a handgun in his waistband.

As officers approached Martin’s vehicle, they reported a strong odor of marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed the following:

    •    Approximately 12 grams of cocaine

    •    Approximately 51 grams of marijuana

    •    Three loaded firearms: a Smith & Wesson 9mm, a Remington .380, and a Palmetto State Armory AR-15 pistol
