Man Severely Injured By Firework In Gary
On July 8, 2020 approximately 11:59 AM the Gary Police Department responded to a call for service in the 200 block of Tyler Street for a possible gunshot victim, according to Lt. Dawn Westerfield of The Gary Police. Upon officers arrival it was discovered an adult male had trauma to his hand from a firework, Westerfield stated. The male was transported to the area hospital for treatment and his condition his not known at this time.
Gary Police want to emphasize no one was shot at this location as reported on social media.
