Man Shot & Killed Friday In Gary
Around 7pm Friday a male that was getting dropped off on the 700 block of Delaware in Gary was gunned down and killed. Lt. Thomas Pawlak of the Gary Police said a female that was dropping the victim off fled the scene to call for help when multiple shots rang out and the male fell on the curb. The vehicle they rode in was also struck by gunfire. The victim has relatives on the block here where he was getting dropped off. A neighbor on scene told RNS he was asleep when gunfire woke him up only to come outside to see the victim in the street. This marks Gary’s 43rd homicide in 2020. The Lake County Coroner has identified the victim as Antione Allen, 48, of Gary.
