Man Shot & Killed On I-94 Sunday Night
Illinois State Police (ISP) officials are investigating a homicide, which occurred on Interstate 94 northbound at 103rd Street, at approximately 8:25 p.m., on Sunday, April 19, 2020.
ISP officers responded to this location after receiving information a shooting had occurred in this area. Upon arrival, ISP officers discovered the male driver and sole occupant of the victim vehicle, 47 year old from Chicago, was deceased inside the vehicle.
Preliminary reports indicate the shots were fired from an unknown vehicle on Interstate 94 northbound at 103rd Street. At approximately 8:30 p.m., all lanes on Interstate 94 northbound at 103rdStreet were closed and traffic was diverted to Stony Island Avenue during the investigation. All lanes reopened at approximately 12:28 a.m. The events surrounding the shooting remain under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
