Man Steals Dodge Challenger From Highland Dealership Tuesday

Tuesday around 2:09 PM Highland Police were dispatched to Right Way Auto Sales lot at 9424 Indianapolis Blvd in reference to a stolen 2020 Dodge Challenger, according to Commander John Banasiak of The Highland Police.

Police say a black male subject wearing all black clothing, red tennis shoes, and a black mask came on foot to the dealership asking to view the car.  The suspect asked the sales person to start up the car so he could hear it run, police told RNS. The suspect then suddenly jumped in the car and drove off southbound on Indianapolis Blvd.

The 2020 Black Dodge Challenger RT was badged to mimic a Hellcat but was not a Hellcat. The vehicle still had yellow front fender protectors on it.  There is no plates on the vehicle. The dealer just picked up the Challenger within the last couple days so it was not even listed yet.

Anyone with information on this vehicle is asked to call The Highland Police.
