Merrillville Police Investigating Shooting
Shortly after 6PM Sunday, Merrillville Police responded to a gun shot victim on the 5700 block of Grant St.
Police could be seen investigating a third floor apartment at the Birchwood Apartments. As of 8PM could only say one individual was shot and this was an isolated incident, according to Merrillville Police Assistant Chief Kosta Nuses. The investigation is ongoing and still in the early stages, Nuses added. The victims condition was not known at the time we spoke with police.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Merrillville Police.
