Merrillville Shooting Leaves One Teen Wounded
A 19 year old male was shot multiple times Friday shortly before 4pm on the 3700 block W. 70th Lane. Information derived from radio traffic said Merriville Police responded to a call of shots fired in the area, with callers stating they heard around 6-10 shots. While police were responding neighbors in the area came outside to see what the noise was and found a male laying on the ground. The teen was transported to Methodist but his condition is unknown at this time. Merrillville Police are currently investigating and will have more information released at a later time.
