Michigan City Man Charged With Dealing Cocaine At Michigan City Park
Timothy Jerome Lewis, 44, of Michigan City, is facing a Level 2 felony charge after prosecutors allege a cocaine transaction took place at a city park in Michigan City.
According to court documents, the alleged incident occurred on July 25, 2025, at approximately 3:31 p.m., when Lewis is accused of arranging and carrying out a cocaine delivery at Hansen Park.
Court records allege Lewis arrived at the park as a passenger in a white Mercedes displaying an Indiana temporary license plate. Investigators state Lewis exited the vehicle, entered another vehicle parked at the location, and handed over a clear plastic bag containing a white, powdery substance before returning to the Mercedes and leaving the area.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the substance was later secured as evidence and tested using a TruNarc drug identifier, which returned a positive result for cocaine hydrochloride. Court documents state the substance was weighed and determined to be approximately 15.4 grams of cocaine, including packaging.
Lodged in the Laporte County Jail on January 6,2026.
