Motorcycle Accident Has Cleveland Closed Near 49th Sunday
Shortly after 5:30pm Sunday a pick up truck vs motorcycle accident occurred near 49th & Cleveland. The rider was transported in serious condition to a local trauma center. Witnesses on scene explained a truck pulled out from the gas station and the bike did not have time to stop. Cleveland will be closed a few hours while the Lake County Accident Reconstruction Team investigates the scene. No further information is available at this time.
UPDATE – The rider succumbed to his injuries at Methodist Northlake. The Lake County Coroner has identified the male as Ronnie Weathersby, 44, of Merrillville.
