Multiple Departments Respond To Silo Rescue
Around 11 AM, Tuesday, Lake County Emergency Management along with fire departments from Lowell, Cedar Lake, Crown Point, Tri-Creek, Gary and DNR units responded to an entrapment in a grain silo located in the 2200 block of 203rd in Lowell.
Technical Rescue crews worked for hours to get the individual out but were not successful in saving him. A recovery was made around 3 PM. The identification of the male has not been released.
Also on standby at the scene was a Lutheran Air Ambulance.
