Munster Police Seek Identity of Home Invasion Suspects
On October 27, 2023, an armed home invasion was reported to Munster Police in the 1400 block of Park West Circle. Three (3) victims reported that multiple, armed offenders forced entry into their residence at approximately 11:20 AM, bound, and battered them and stole money and other items. The offenders fled the residence at approximately 1:00 PM.
A subsequent investigation by the Munster Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division found that five (5) offenders were involved, utilizing two separate vehicles. The offenders are believed to be all males, who were masked.
Munster Police, in cooperation with Chicago Police, recovered both vehicles in Chicago, Illinois. The Indiana State Police processed both vehicles for evidentiary purposes.
During the investigation, Detectives have viewed multiple sources of surveillance footage in and around the area of the incident. Detectives have identified two people of interest in this case and are requesting the public’s assistance in providing any information on the depicted persons, vehicles, or the home invasion.
One of the victims in this case is offering a $15,000.00 reward to anyone who comes forward with information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for this crime.
