No Injuries In Munster House Fire Sunday

Munster Fire Department was dispatched around 2:54 PM Sunday, December 26th, for a working structure fire in the 1200 block of Melbrook Dr, according to Munster Fire Chief Mark Hajduk.

On arrival crews were met with heavy smoke coming from a two story large home. One individual was home and made it safely out, Hajduk told RNS. All pets were also evacuated from the structure as well. There was no loss of life and the fire remains under investigation.

Munster Fire Department was assisted by Lansing, Highland, Griffith, Schererville, Glenwood, Calumet City, Dyer Fire Departments, and Superior Ambulance.
