NWR SWAT Responds To Crown Point Neighborhood
At approximately 10:04 PM, Sunday, October 13, Crown Point police responded to a welfare check in the 700 block of South East Street, according to Crown Point Police.
Around 10:22 PM as officers were leaving, a 36-year-old male stepped from the residence and fired two shots into the ground. Police quickly set up a perimeter around the residence. Northwest Regional SWAT was contacted and responded to the call.
The subject was taken into custody safely without incident and remains in custody. Charges have been presented to the Lake County Prosecutor. More information will be released at a later time, police said.
