One Airlifted After Highland Motorcycle Accident

Highland Police were dispatched to Cline and 45th Street for a report of a car vs motorcycle accident at approximately 8:31 PM on Friday, August 19, 2022, according to Commander John Banasiak.

Preliminary investigation shows that a 2019 Subaru Outback was traveling east on 45th and was then turning left/north onto Cline Avenue. At this time, there was also a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling west on 45th Street as it entered the intersection of Cline Avenue. The two vehicles made impact with each other in the intersection, Banasiak said.

The 68 year old female driver of the Subaru, from Highland, suffered injuries to her neck and was transported to the hospital for further treatment. The 53 year old male driver of the Harley Davidson, from Schererville, suffered injuries to numerous parts of his body and was transported to the University Of Chicago Hospital via UCAN helicopter for further treatment. A 56 year old female, a passenger on the Harley Davidson, from Schererville, suffered abrasions to her body and was transported to the hospital for further treatment.

This accident is still under investigation by the Highland Police Department.
