Griffith Police responded to the 1700 block of Park West Blvd, Monday, around 1:43 PM after a report from a tenant that an ex-boyfriend was attempting to gain entry into her apartment, according to Griffith Police.
Upon the female calling 911, the subject departed, firing a single shot from a handgun into the air outside of the apartment building. There was no injuries or property damage reported, Griffith Police said.
The subject was apprehended in the area a short time later with the assistance of Highland Police & Lake County Sheriff Deputies. Charges are pending with the Lake County Prosecutor.
