One Shot In Calumet City Shooting
Calumet City Police & Fire were dispatched to the 300 block of River Oaks Dr for a gun shot victim Friday around 5:17pm. On arrival police found one male shot in the stomach who was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police took multiple people into custody on River Oaks Dr for unknown reasons at this time but they learned the actual crime scene was actually a block North on the 300 block of 159th Street where numerous shell casings were found. A search in the area and numerous calls determined multiple subjects ran through yards after shots were initially fired.
Police are still currently investigating and we will have further updates as they become available.

Why are only some of the cops wearing masks?
i live in calumet city and i have to wonder if some of this can be prevented by bringing back a more agressive trafic patrol “YES A TRAFFIC PATROL” seems to me some of these perpatrators dont care about any laws gun laws OR TRAFFIC LAWS they do not feel the need to stop for stop signs and never do 20 mph in residential areas slow em down piss them off. They will go some where else . Or potentially can catch one of these persons before they shoot some one else or run some one over
