One Shot With Rifle In Gary & Possible Suspect In Custody
A shooting tonight around 6pm in on the 2100 block of Carolina in Gary left one person shot multiple times. The victim was taken to Methodist Northlake and his condition is unknown at this time.
Gary Police were in the area of 2100 Carolina when they heard shots fired along with numerous calls for shots fired. Police began pursuing a possible suspect in the area who fled from Officers. After a brief chase and search for the man police found him hiding under a vehicle near 19th & Georgia. A rifle was also recovered which was dropped in a yard on the 1900 block of Georgia St. The suspect was also brought to Northlake with unknown injuries.
