Over 40 Rounds Fired At Portage Apartments With One Person Hit
On July 7th at approximately 5:16 A.M. the Porter County 911 Center received multiple calls regarding a disturbance, followed by multiple shots fired, outside an apartment complex, located near 6045 Canden, in Portage located behind Stracks on Central.
Responding officers located a male subject with a bullet wound, police stated. He was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
A preliminary investigation at the scene showed at least 40 rounds being fired by 4 different caliber guns according to Portage Police. Numerous vehicles and buildings were hit.
