OWI Charges Filed After Valparaiso Man Crashes Into Residence
Thomas Wiliam Webber, III, 34, of Valparaiso, is facing multiple misdemeanor charges in Porter County after police say he drove a vehicle off the roadway and into a residence.
According to court documents, on January 4 at approximately 6:49 p.m., Webber drove his vehicle off the roadway and crashed into a residence at 384 Pinewood Drive in Valparaiso.
Court records state the crash created a substantial risk of bodily injury to a person at the residence.
During the investigation, officers documented observations including pupils contracted, dull reaction, confused and mumbled speech, and unsteadiness.
A chemical blood test showed the presence of cannabinoids and benzodiazepines, identified as controlled substances. Court documents state Webber operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person.
Charges filed January 26,2026:
• Criminal Mischief — Class A Misdemeanor (damage between $750 and $50,000)
• Criminal Recklessness — Class A Misdemeanor
• Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person — Class A Misdemeanor
• Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated — Class C Misdemeanor
