Pedestrian Hit & Killed By Vehicle In EC Hit & Run
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in East Chicago near 140th & Main, Deputy Chief Jose Rivera said Thursday. The vehicle did not stop after striking the pedestrian police say. Other motorists in the area did render aid till paramedics arrived. The pedestrian was alert on scene and transported to an Illinois Trauma Center where he underwent surgery early this morning but succumbed to his injuries sources told RNS. Police are currently reviewing surveillance video from the area and investigating this fatal accident. We will update with the victims name when family has been notified.
