Police Find Two Killed In Gary Home Monday
Around 2:30pm Monday Gary Police responded to the 4400 block of Johnson Street for a welfare check on the residents after a relative was getting no answer from the victims all morning, police told RNS. On arrival they found the front door was open and two deceased individuals were found inside the home.
A 39 year old male and his 15 year old son were found shot and deceased, according to Lt. Thomas Pawlak of The Gary Police. The father was found shot on the main floor and his 15 year old son shot in the bedroom upstairs, Pawlak said. Police believe this happened sometime overnight. This marks Gary’s 45th homicide in 2020.
The Lake County Coroner has identified the victims as Kelton Aaron, 39 of Gary and Amari Aaron, 15, of Gary. Lake County Metro Homicide is handling this investigation.
