Police Investigating Fatal Crown Point Accident
On May 26th around 8:30 AM Crown Point Police responded to the 9800 block of Broadway for a vehicle crash involving a passenger car and large dump truck, according to Crown Point Police Chief Pete Land.
As officers and EMS arrived the vehicles were still located in the street. One of the involved drivers was pronounced deceased on scene, Land stated. The investigation is currently ongoing and further information is being withheld.
The Crown Point Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team is being assisted by The Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County Coroners Office, and The Indiana State Police.
