Police Investigating Homicide After Female Found Near Park
Around 3 PM Saturday Gary Police were investigating a homicide on the 300 block of W. 30th Ave. This location is just North of the IUN campus at North Gleason Park.
Police told RNS some walkers in the area discovered a female near the park next to a tree. It’s unclear at this time how she was killed but it appears she has not been there long. The Lake County Coroner arrived around 4 PM. The victim has been identified as Angela Carrier, 37, of Merrillville.
