Police Respond To Shooting In Burlington Coat Factory Friday Night
At approximately 5:00 PM this evening, Hobart Police responded to a report of a shooting at Burlington Coat Factory, located at 2020 East Lincoln Highway.
Upon arrival, officers discovered one injured individual, who was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim did not suffer a gunshot wound, but sustained other non-life threatening injuries, according to Hobart Police.
A witness told RNS that a male was approached by two suspects who appeared to have some kind of problem with him. Shortly after shots were fired and the victim was injured but talking and disoriented. The two suspects fled the scene, the witness said.
The suspects fled the area in a vehicle.
Hobart Police are stating there is no active threat in the area at this time. However, they are asking the public to avoid the vicinity due to a significant police presence as the scene is being processed.
