Police Seek Info On Shots Fired In Griffith
Shortly after 7:35 PM on Wednesday March 10, Griffith Police responded to the 1100 block of Reyome Dr in The Park West Apartments for a call of shots fired, according to Commander Keith Martin of The Griffith Police.
Upon arriving on scene, officers were advised that the shots had been fired in the parking lot during a confrontation between a male resident and another subject. According to the resident, he was exiting his vehicle when the suspect began to yell at him and they exchanged words. As the other subject, a male black occupant of a vehicle described as a dark colored 4 door compact sports car, was driving away, the suspect fired several shots in the direction of the resident, striking multiple parked unoccupied vehicles, Martin stated. No injuries were reported.
The suspect was named to be an associate of another resident. Multiple spent shell casings were recovered and the incident is still under investigation.
